Erika O'Neal owner and founder is a Bastrop County native who pursued her passion for art and media by attending school in Arizona and residing in the Scottsdale area for eleven years. With over 20 years of marketing experience, she has assisted numerous companies and non-profit organizations with business planning, promotional marketing and digital marketing services.
Erika is currently focused on developing Bastrop Guide and, as of February 2024, has taken on the role of President of the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce. In her capacity as Chamber President, she actively engages with the community and chamber members by providing updates on various initiatives. Her responsibilities include attending and hosting ribbon-cutting ceremonies, mixers, and luncheons, as well as serving on multiple committees and boards. Additionally, Erika can be seen live on Instagram and Facebook, where she produces short promotional videos at local events and conducts interviews for Bastrop Guide.
Past Projects: Erika co-founded the first Education Foundation for the Smithville Independent School District, originally established as A.C.E. and now recognized as the Smithville Education Foundation. During her successful three-year tenure as president, she spearheaded the foundation's first Cinco de Mayo Festival fundraiser and committed numerous hours to various committees and volunteer efforts within her community.
In addition to her philanthropic work, Erika has acquired significant experience in promotional photography, capturing key events for Toyota, including the launch of the Yaris and the promotion of the Toyota Tundra. She has also provided her promotional services for various college events.
Erika’s portfolio includes providing meet-and-greet photography for a Black Eyed Peas concert in Glendale, Arizona, as well as videography for a VIP event hosted by Activision for the release of the Tony Hawk's Motion Skateboarding game in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she had the privilege of meeting DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Erika cherishes time with family and friends, immersing herself in landscape photography, traveling, cycling, and exploring nature. She actively seeks out new experiences and opportunities for personal growth and learning.
