LEGO® CLUB ONE OF MANY PROGRAMS AT THE BASTROP PUBLIC LIBRARY

By Erika O'Neal | Bastrop Guide

The Bastrop Public Library is a great place to learn and have fun. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Bonnie Pierson, the Director of the Bastrop Public Library who shared some of the exciting programs they offer, watch the complete interview below.

Join the library for storytime, a new language adventure, or even just to pop in for a cup of coffee! The library is not just to check books out either; join the library to be able to check out hot spots for Wi-fi. Need a baking pan? Yes, find one at the library from Spider-man forms to our good Ole State of Texas!

MANGO offers learners the ability to learn a new language or brush up on your existing skills. Library card holders can download the app for free and create a free account by using their library card number.

Lego® Club meets the third Tuesday of each month from 3-4:30pm in the Pressley Meeting Room. If Storytime sounds like fun for your child, check out their program on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30am. They also have Teen Thursdays from 4:45-6:15 pm where teens can come hangout with their friends, participate in fun activities and enjoy each other's company!

The library also hosts a variety of adult social clubs and groups, including Coffee with Catherine: during quarantine this group began meeting via zoom to help people socialize; now it meets at the library and welcomes all adults who would like to join them for a cup of coffee and take a moment to catch up, every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 pm.
