I had the opportunity to visit Bastrop County Animal Services and I caught up with their director Ashley and Long-time Volunteer Sara.

Next Wellness Services Scheduled: •Date: Wednesday, January 11
•Time: 9AM -1PM
•Services offered: Walk-up services for basic vaccines, flea and heart worm preventatives.
Looking for a “Lost Pet?” Visit the shelter 8AM - 4PM, 7 days a week.
Spay & Neuter Clinic through Save an Angel they offer spay and neuter services at a low-cost.
Dogs starting at $105*
Cats starting at $95*
Things to know about adoptions:
Simple adoption process, the public is invited to walk the kennels to meet the pets and if you have another dog in the home, you can request a meet and greet to allow the pets to meet.
Adoptions are Wednesday - Sunday 11AM - 4PM
Adopted pets come already fixed, micro-chipped and vaccinated.
Basic adoption application requirements
Normal Adoption Fees: Dogs $130 | Cats $65
Special Adoption Rates at times as low as $25
Volunteer Opportunities
A lot of volunteer opportunities like; helping walk the dogs, outside adoption events, foster a pet, work with the cats at the catery, help transport pets when a pet needs emergency shelter, help with surgeries, laundry and lots of other ways to help.
